What is Undercover Mode?
Undercover Mode is a social deduction mode inside Find The Imposter. Almost every player gets the same secret word, but one or more players, the Undercover, secretly get a different, related word. Everyone gives clues, discusses, and votes to catch the Undercover players before they blend in.
How is Undercover Mode different from the classic Imposter game?
In the classic game, the imposter gets no word at all and has to fake it completely. In Undercover Mode, the Undercover player also gets a real word, just a different one from everyone else's, which makes the bluffing subtler and rounds trickier to call.
How many players do you need for Undercover Mode?
You need at least 3 players. Pass & Play and online rooms both support up to 15. You can also choose how many Undercover players are in the mix as your group grows.
What categories can I play with?
Undercover Mode has its own categories separate from the classic game, Football Players, Basketball Players, Animals, Food & Drinks, Movies, Video Games, Moroccan Culture, Egyptian Culture, and more, plus a big Mixed pool. Pick one, several, or all of them, grouped by theme so they're easy to browse.
Can I choose how many rounds we play?
Yes. Undercover Mode lets you set the number of rounds before starting, so your group can keep going until you actually catch everyone Undercover instead of stopping after a fixed number of turns.

Yes. Undercover Mode is completely free to play online in your browser, no download, no signup, and no in-app purchases.
What is the Mr. White role?
Mr. White is an optional extra role you can turn on for Undercover Mode. One Undercover player gets no word at all, instead of the usual different-but-related word, they have to bluff purely on instinct. If they're caught and voted out, they get one private guess at the secret word before elimination is final. Guess it right and their whole team steals the win, even though they were just caught.
What happens if Mr. White guesses wrong?
Nothing extra happens, the round's result stands exactly as if an ordinary Undercover player had been caught. If that was the last Undercover player left, the crew wins. If other Undercover players are still hidden, the game simply continues to the next round.
Can the game pick how many Undercover players there are for me?
Yes, turn on Random Count and the game rolls the number of Undercover players each game instead of you setting a fixed count, while always keeping the crew in a clear numeric majority no matter how many players you have.
