How to play Mafia in 60 seconds
Gather 4–15 players
Everyone sits in a circle around one phone. Add names and the app deals secret roles.
See your secret role
Pass the phone around, each player privately taps to reveal whether they are Mafia, Detective, Doctor or Villager.
Night falls
The narrator reads the script: Mafia choose a victim, the Detective investigates, the Doctor protects.
Day breaks
The town learns who died, debates who the Mafia are, and votes to eliminate a suspect.

Prepare a no-cards Mafia party game
Choose the human narrator before dealing roles. The narrator sees the private dashboard and must stay neutral rather than argue as a suspect. Enter the participating players, review the suggested role counts and begin with Mafia, Villagers, a Detective and a Doctor before adding extra roles. Pass the phone privately for each reveal, then give it to the narrator. This is one-device play with people together, not a remote multiplayer room.
Keep night actions private and daytime voting clear
The narrator follows the on-screen night sequence, records the choices and shares only the information the script allows. Do not show the role roster or Detective results to the group. During the day, give each living player a chance to speak, agree on the discussion time and record the vote on the dashboard. Let the app resolve the result before starting another phase. Extra roles change the outcome: a Jester wants to be voted out, while a Serial Killer has a separate victory condition. Introduce those rules before the first reveal, not halfway through a game.

How do you play Mafia (Werewolf)?
Players are secretly dealt roles, Mafia, Villagers, a Detective and a Doctor. At night the Mafia secretly pick someone to eliminate while the Detective investigates and the Doctor protects. By day everyone debates and votes to lynch a suspect. The Village wins when all Mafia are gone; the Mafia win when they equal the Villagers.
Do I need cards or any equipment to play Mafia?
No. This is a no-cards version, the app secretly deals every role on one shared phone and gives the narrator an on-screen dashboard, so you never need a deck, paper or a separate moderator app.
How many players do you need for Mafia?
Mafia works best with 4 to 15 players. The app automatically recommends a balanced number of Mafia, Detectives and Doctors for your group size, and you can adjust it.
